Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and writer who is best recognized for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV show Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she started her acting career on stage for Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. Thereafter she acted in numerous Broadway productions, before becoming big on the national theatre area with Li'l abner's in 1957. Her first album of music, It's Time For Tina in the same year. Louise was first introduced to Hollywood in the role of Griselda Walden on God's Little Acre a 1957 drama film. The film was hugely popular and Louise was awarded the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. Louise enrolled in Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's teacher. Louise joined CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour continued to successfully juggle between Broadway as well as Hollywood playing a somber, sombre character against her famous image as the glamorous model. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 & Sanctuary but she also was a successful television director with several series including Supernatural as well as The 100. Born in Essex on August 28th 1965 and her family moved to Toronto when she was three and she continued to live there throughout her childhood and adolescence. She settled in Vancouver when she was chosen for the role of Samantha Carter.
